Overview
The Overview page provides a quick snapshot of your device’s current status and activities. Here, you can assess information about performance and resource usage in one place.
- Device Thermal State Dashboard: Displays the device’s thermal state records for the last 12 hours using a step line chart The state ranges from Nominal (normal) to Fair (warm), Serious (hot), and Critical. Any charging periods during this time are also highlighted.
- System Uptime and Last Boot Time: Displays when the device was booted and how long it has been running since then.
- Memory Usage: Shows your total RAM and the amount currently allocated to active and wired memory.
- Network Activity: Monitors download and upload speeds over the last 30 seconds with simple real-time charts, helping you track recent network usage.
- Storage Information: Shows total storage, used storage, and the remaining available space on your device.
Thermal State Dashboard
The Thermal State Dashboard offers an in-depth look at your device’s thermal records Here’s what you can do:
- Manual Recording: Capture the current thermal state on demand. You can also add our Home Screen widget to automatically log the device’s thermal state. However, be aware the widget’s update interval varies between 15 and 30 minutes, subject to system scheduling.
- Interactive Step Line Chart: Tap, hold, and drag on the chart to inspect data points like the charging state, battery level, and the exact time the record was taken.
- Show Thermal Records: Navigate to the list view for a detailed look at the past 24 hours of recorded thermal data. You can sort, filter, or delete these records as needed.
Memory Usage Detail
The Memory Usage Detail page breaks down how the device’s RAM is utilized:
- Pie Chart Breakdown: View at-a-glance usage of wired, active, inactive, compressed, and free memory in a clear, visual format.
- Custom Update Intervals: Adjust how frequently the memory usage data refreshes, choosing between updates every 2, 5, or 10 seconds.
Network Activity
- Data Usage Since Device Boot: Displays how much data (Wi-Fi and mobile) has been sent and received since the last boot. Note that these usage counters are limited to 32-bit integers (≈ 4.29 GB). When this limit is reached, the counter resets automatically — a limitation imposed by the system.
- Data Connection: Shows the type of active data connection (Wi-Fi, mobile, VPN), whether you’re on a hotspot, your router (gateway) address, and external IP address. This helps you determine exactly how you’re connected.
- Wi-Fi Info: Shows SSID, BSSID, IPv4/IPv6 addresses, and subnet mask. (note that you must grant precise location access to display SSID & BSSID, Apple enforces this privacy requirement to protect your location data).
- Cellular Info: Displays the cellular network’s IPv4/IPv6 addresses and indicates the current network type, such as 5G Standalone or 5G Non-Standalone.
Storage Records
- Daily Storage Usage History: Stores a single record of your device’s storage usage each day. You can use the Storage Info widget to automatically record usage daily without needing to open the app.
- Storage Trends: If you have more than a week of records, you can view trends. These trends calculate your average daily changes in storage usage and can project when you might hit certain thresholds.
- Record List View: View past storage usage in a sortable list. You can also delete records you no longer need.
Device Details Page
- Software and Hardware Info: Shows details like model identifier, processor, operating system information, and screen details such as physical size, pixel density, and resolution. You can also see brightness levels and other metrics.
- Device Environment: Provides values such as timezone, locale, currency, device orientation, layout direction, and display scale. This is helpful for understanding how your device is configured.
Toolbox
The Toolbox contains various utilities that make use of your device’s hardware features, such as sensors, GPS, and more:
- Speedometer: Shows your current speed based on GPS data, along with average speed, maximum speed, stop time, and total distance for your current trip. It also displays your GPS signal strength and trip duration. You can swipe left to access a mini music player. You can customize the speed unit (e.g., mph or km/h) and the maximum gauge range.
- GPS Info: Displays your current location on a map with an accuracy circle. Also shows latitude/longitude coordinates, speed accuracy, and altitude information.
- Proximity Sensor: A simple counter you can test by covering and uncovering the device’s proximity sensor.
- Bluetooth Scanner: Scans nearby Bluetooth devices, displaying device’s name, signal strength, UUID, manufacturer, and model number if possible.
- Accelerometer Tool: Graphs your device’s X, Y, and Z axis acceleration in real time. Shows statistics like maximum observed values and supports recording data, including motion input from Apple's motioin capable headphones like AirPods Pro or AirPods Max.
- Gyroscope Tool: Plots device's gyroscope data for roll, pitch, and yaw rates. Also allows you to record data from compatible Apple headphones.
- Magnetometer Tool: Displays the device’s magnetic field readings on a graph with X, Y, and Z axis values. You can record and export this data in CSV format.
- Inclinometer Tool: Shows the device’s inclination (pitch, roll, yaw), and can also display data from motion-capable Apple headphones.
- Barometer Tool: Showing the current ambient pressure (in KPa), relative altitude, and absolute altitude on a chart, with recording and CSV export options.
- Flashlight Tool: Lets you control the device’s flashlight brightness, set a strobe frequency, or start patterns such as SOS or a “breathing” effect.
